Foster started alongside some of the team’s biggest players from 2018/19, the likes of Kamil Glik, Aleksandr Golovin and Djibril Sidibe, and he will not have done his chances of breaking into the first team any harm by getting on the scoresheet.

Leonardo Jardim is currently assessing his full squad in the build-up to the 2019/20 campaign, with the club eager to make sure that they don’t find themselves in a relegation battle once again after they escaped by the skin of their teeth last time out.

The former Orlando Pirates youngster will no doubt have a better chance of breaking into Jardim’s XI in Ligue 1 when their is no pressure to just survive in the top-flight, and the player himself showed his delight and bagging his first goal for the seniors after he got onto the end of a cross from Jean-Eudes Aholou.

Foster now has the benefit of training alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Radamel Falcao going forward, and will be looking to take advantage of the fact that he’s among players who have played at the very highest level.
